Who We Are
THE SOLANO REALTIST ASSOCIATION
The Solano REALTIST Association falls under the umbrella of the National Association of Real Estate Broker’s (NAREB). It is important that I give you a brief history of our organization, which will shed some light on our objectives. Our organization was founded in 1947, making it the oldest minority trade association in America. Eleven African American men and one African American woman saw the need to secure the right to equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed, or color. NAREB members are called REALTIST® and represent all professional disciplines within the real estate industry. Since its inception, NAREB has participated in various meaningful challenges and legislative improvements, to establish fair housing for all people. Democracy in housing is our mission, which should also be the mission of all American citizens.

A membership with NAREB is included with every Solano Realtist membership.
Since 1947, NAREB and its REALTISTS® have gone on to win victory after victory in support of equal housing opportunities for all. We are an association proud of our past, relentless in our struggle, and 100% dedicated to the REALTIST® creed- Democracy in Housing.

A membership with The California Association of Realtist is included when you join The Solano Realtist.
The California Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc. (CAREB) is the largest and oldest state chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc. (NAREB), the largest and oldest minority real estate trade association in America. NAREB/CAREB members are known by the trade name of "Realtists".

What is a Realtist?
A Realtist is:
- is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) one the largest and oldest minority trade association in America or any of its local chapters.
- is dedicated to bringing together the nation’s minority professionals in the real estate industry to promote the meaningful exchange of ideas about our business and how to best serve our clientele.
- is dedicated to enhance the economic improvement of its fellow members and the minority communities we serve.
- believe in “Democracy in Housing” – the principle that all citizens have the right to equal housing opportunities, regardless of race, creed, or color.
- believe in preserving the rights of all Americans to homeownership and is dedicated to serve the unserved and underserved by developing creative and effective methods of doing so.
- is dedicated to deal fairly and justly with all matters of their profession.
- is never relieved of the responsibility to observe fully the Code of Ethics.
- is the Professional your community deserves.
- is an active member of the local chapter of NAREB.
Who We Are
Solano Realtist & NAREB advocates for public policies that protect and expand sustainable homeownership. We provide tools for our Realtists to meet today’s real estate challenges with training, certifications, and designations to us ahead of the curve.
